POS Error messages occur when the POS does not respond to OlO at the time a guest is submitting an order. When a POS error message occurs, an escalation email is sent from OlO to the store to let you know there may be a problem.
Here are a few issues that cause POS error messages:
- Menu items 86ed on OlO
- Is the store’s internet working? Is the connection slow?
- A team member has clocked out the OlO employee (555)
- A team member has clhecked in on a terminal as the OlO employee (555) to review a check
- Technical – Does BOH computer have sufficient memory?
- Technical – Is the store’s BOH computer running on an old version of Windows? (ie: Windows7)
Until the POS issue is resolved, the store will continue to receive POS error message escalation emails from OlO. Please ensure that the store does not have any of the issues noted above.
